Antioxidant, human body and pasta "Protelle"

Why are antioxidants so important for humans? Here is the uniqueness of the antioxidant content precisely in our product.

An antioxidant called chlorogenic acid is a natural compound found in coffee beans, vegetables, fruits, and plants.

4 Health Benefits of Chlorogenic Acid

1) Chlorogenic Acid Relieves Oxidative and Inflammatory Stress

Multiple cell studies show chlorogenic acid exhibited antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

The antioxidant activity may be attributed to the upregulation of antioxidant proteins such as glutathione and vitamins C and E. Additionally, chlorogenic acid reduced levels of oxidative proteins and reactive oxygen species that induce oxidative stress. Cell studies show chlorogenic acid may decrease cell death (apoptosis) and reduce DNA fragmentation.

2) Chlorogenic Acid May Reduce Cancer Growth

In lung cancer cells, chlorogenic acid-induced cell death (apoptosis) and prevented cancer cell growth .

Multiple studies of breast cancer cells have indicated that chlorogenic acid can eradicate cancer cell growth and induce cell death in the tumor.

3) Chlorogenic Acid Is Anti-Diabetic and Anti-Obesity

Multiple studies (DB-RCTs) show chlorogenic acid may reduce insulin and glucose spikes following a meal, resulting in weight and body fat loss over time.

In 57 healthy females (RCT), chlorogenic acid extract reduced fasting HbA1cand blood glucose levels. HbA1c is an indicator of diabetes.

In 16 obese individuals (DB-PCT), chlorogenic acid extract for 22 weeks reduced weight, BMI, and body fat percentage.

4) Chlorogenic Acid Is Antimicrobial

Chlorogenic acid exerted antibacterial effects in cells by disrupting the bacterial membranes, leading to cell death.
